VESK joins Nasstar Group

In video, news / By Lydia Cooper / 16 October 2015

VESK is one of the largest pure play hosted desktop providers in the UK after Nasstar, and is highly regarded for its technical expertise, service quality and continual uptime.

VESK was acquired by Nasstar plc in October 2015 joining the group alongside other subsidiaries:, Kamanchi and Nasstar (UK).

As well as providing valuable additional resource and a broader geographical reach (with data centres in Singapore as well as London), the acquisition brings both market synergy and opportunity, with consolidation in the legal and logistics sectors and huge potential across the public sector, due to VESK’s G-Cloud accreditation

The highly regarded skills base within VESK and its track record in service delivery in Asia will further strengthen the Group’s capabilities and capacity, while VESK clients will in turn benefit from the broader product portfolio now open to them.

VESK has an established customer base totalling 250 clients with 4500+ hosted desktop end users and 1500+ additional hosted email end users.

Nigel Redwood, chief executive officer of Nasstar plc, comments:

“The acquisition of VESK opens up new vertical markets for us; I am very encouraged by the opportunity generated by the G-Cloud certification. VESK have been a significant competitor in our space and I have respected their achievements for a number of years. Quality experienced technical resource is hard to come across in our industry and this acquisition brings us a skilled team of 20, further adding to our local resource pool in London. VESK also has an established customer base and brand within the legal sector and therefore this acquisition ticks a number of our strategic aims that we set ourselves in our acquisition strategy. James is a very strong addition to the team and I am looking forward to working with another pioneer of our industry”

James Mackie, managing director of VESK, comments:

“I am extremely excited for VESK and me personally to be joining Nasstar. The potential for growth within our market place is significant, and joining forces in this way further enhances our ability to take advantage of the opportunity within the cloud sector. VESK brings Nasstar an established position in new vertical markets, a very talented set of employee and a happy customer base. I am delighted to become Group Sales Director and look forward to working with the Nasstar team for many years to come”
