Job title: Supply Chain Manager

Location: Telford TF1

Reporting to: Head of PMO

Purpose of role:

Great opportunity for an ambitious Supply Chain Manager to lead transformational activities to deliver the Nasstar Supply Chain Strategy, building procurement capabilities and improving organizational efficiency. Taking Responsibility for complex software licensing models and building strong relationships with vendors.


• Create and implement procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within the industry

• Build long-term relationships with vendors in the industry

• Define and implement I.T category strategies to maximise procurement principles and cost savings

• Drive the development and implementation of procurement systems, processes and procedures as appropriate

• Work closely with Finance team to streamline billing activities associated with procurement

• Analyse and negotiate proposals for price and specifications

• Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements


• Accreditation to Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), Accreditation to IACCM (Preferable)

• Previous experience as a Supply Chain/Procurement Manager responsible for software procurement and clear understanding of Tier 1 software vendor licencing models such as Microsoft SPLA & CSP

• In-depth knowledge of contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms

• Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex problems quickly to drive performance improvement

• Ability to successfully work in cross-functional teams and embed change

• Ability to manage and mitigate risk through effective strategic planning activity

• Sound understanding of Tier 1 software vendors’ licensing models and the ability to research and grasp the fundamental principles of Tier 2 and 3 software vendors’ licensing models as and when required.

• Ability to understand IT architecture designs and map them to software licensing models. Manage the risks of non-compliance with software licensing terms and conditions. Good knowledge of the common terms in software-license agreements
