For the fifth year running, Nasstar is proud to support Crisis at Christmas, one of the UK’s largest volunteer events with around 11,000 volunteers offering shelter and vital services to over 3,000 homeless people over the Christmas period.
Every year, the Crisis at Christmas volunteers work tirelessly to try and alleviate the loneliness and isolation that many people without a home or family experience by providing key services and a safe, warm place to spend the holidays.
The Crisis at Christmas day care centres provide shelter, hot food, activity, entertainment, medial help or expert advice. Together with the Aimar Foundation (a charity backed by Morgan Stanley), Nasstar provides 300 virtual desktops to allow guests access to key online services they might not otherwise have had. Guests can use the desktops to use email, online job searches and other useful online services during their time at the centre.
Nasstar is delighted to support the work of the Crisis at Christmas initiative once again and wish all involved a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
