Nasstar is delighted to be involved in the Manchester Law Society’s GDPR and Social Media Law Conference on 19th April at the Hilton Hotel, Manchester.
The conference will cover the important compliance issues of the day such as how to advise clients on what the GDPR change will mean for them in practice, how to prevent data breaches and enforcement action and what to do when the worst happens.
Experts will discuss the risks and opportunities presented by social media and web marketing, both for lawyers and their clients as well as the latest on Social Media Law and what the evolving legislation means for defamation, privacy and data protection.
Nasstar’s CEO, Nigel Redwood will join the panel discussion entitled: ‘Plan now, survive later – Practical tips for coping with the new regulation and incident response.’ Nigel will sit alongside fellow Manchester Law Society Advantage Group members, Matrix 247 and Xyone Cyber Security to provide advice and guidance on how IT can be best leveraged to help firms manage their GDPR obligations, including being able to deal with subject access requests, privacy by design and default as well as helping to keep remote workers and client data secure.
As a managed IT services provider, Nasstar is continually reviewing security processes across customer IT environments and working to stay ahead of the game when it comes to security and data protection requirements, making the compliance process a lot simpler for our legal clients. Firms choose to partner with a provider like Nasstar so that they can be confident in the security of their data in the lead up to the GDPR and other regulations as and when they are introduced.
If your firm doesn’t feel ready to comply with the GDPR requirements or is unsure how to advise clients on the best approach then join us for a full day of updates, case studies and discussion.
