In news / By Lydia Cooper / 08 March 2019

Managed IT services provider and recruitment sector specialist Nasstar has announced the signing of specialist energy recruitment company, ersg for a three-year contract.

Nasstar is set to deliver its public cloud solution to ersg’s 99 staff across five offices in the UK, US and Europe. As part of the outsourcing contract, Nasstar will also be providing a dedicated 24/7 support desk for 2nd and 3rd line support requirements.

Introducing ersg

Formed in 2008, ersg is a global energy recruitment specialist and market leader in the offshore and onshore wind sector. ersg prides itself on sourcing the best contract and permanent staff for its clients based in the UK, Europe, USA and beyond.

ersg has enjoyed rapid success and growth in recent years and had reached a stage where investment into the infrastructure of the business was required to continue to drive things forward. Keen to capitalise on existing growth and support future international expansion plans, ersg looked to move its IT infrastructure into the cloud, approaching Nasstar to help manage and support the migration to a hosted desktop.

ersg’s IT Manager, Rian Pachonick, comments:

“The wind sector in particular is an area of recruitment that is experiencing real growth and moving at pace, therefore we were keen to embed a robust, secure and flexible IT solution that enabled collaboration and levelled the technology playing field across all of our offices.

“In Nasstar, we saw a provider that delivered a solution that could help us manage and capitalise the rapid growth we’ve already experienced but also prepare for and support our aggressive expansion plans. The team understood our pain points and how to solve them, but they also understood our industry and that expertise played a large part in the decision-making process.”

Nigel Redwood, Nasstar CEO, adds:

“We’re delighted to have ersg onboard as a partner of Nasstar. In the past two years they’ve demonstrated ambitious growth plans, opening 5 overseas offices and with expansion planned for their UK HQ in 2019, we’re looking forward to supporting them in achieving their goals. Operating in a fast-paced industry with technology driving every part of their business, ersg understandably need a robust solution to deliver the agility and competitive advantage they need to succeed.”
