3rd Line Support Engineer - Bournemouth

Purpose of job: To work within an expanding team supporting a state of the art technical infrastructure used for the delivery of managed solutions to our client base.
You will be joining a talented, dynamic team, working as a member of our service desk.
Day-to-day work will involve investigating and resolving issues on a wide range of systems and there is a large amount of scope for extending your skills with hands-on project work.
Primary location will be our Bournemouth office. There will be opportunity for travel to other Nasstar facilities and to customer locations as required. Also, you may be required to work from any of our other offices or customer sites across the UK and occasionally internationally.
You will be included in the 24/7 OOH support rota (currently this means being on-call approximately one weekend in eight) after your probation period and you will need to be flexible with working outside of normal office hours; this will include weekend work on occasion
The technical skills provided by our service desk team are listed below. It is not essential that you have all these skills, we will provide training accordingly.
• A good understanding of PC/Laptop hardware including Mac • Windows 7 OS, Windows 10 OS, MacOS & the MS Office suite for both • Windows 2008/2012/2016 Server, Active Directory, Group Policy • Exchange server 2010/2013/2016, Office 365, Citrix XenApp, Lync / Skype for Business • Telephone systems (IP, SIP) • Network devices including firewalls (IP routing, IPSec, VPN, VLAN, LACP) LAN switches and routers • Datacentres and virtualisation (VMWare & Hyper-V)
Skills and Experience: • Minimum of two years’ experience working on a service desk • Experience working with an IT outsourcing provider would be advantageous • Any experience managing technology migration projects would be advantageous

He or she should be hard working, able to work under pressure, be open to new ideas and able to communicate effectively at all levels. He or she should be able to work in a most demanding environment
